Orange Sky aims to work alongside existing service providers within a community to help people experiencing homelessness and hardship.
The importance of community partnerships
Since Orange Sky started in 2014, and since Orange Sky Aotearoa launched in 2018, we’ve known the value of partnering with existing service providers, who are organisations already providing essential services to their community.
It’s with this collaborative approach that we can strengthen our combined impact and provide a wrap-around experience for people who use our services.

Our partnerships are completely tailored to make sure we’re providing consistent and accessible services in areas of need.

Our services
We deliver our service to everyday Australians in a number of different ways. Depending on your location, there may be only select service types available.
Laundry vans
Equipped with two washing machines and two Waru Dryers, our laundry vans are solar powered and have clean and waste water tanks onboard.
Site Requirements*
• 1 x clean water tap
• 1 x waste water drain (not stormwater)
• 1 x 10amp electricity source
• Minimum space of two regular car parks

Hybrid vans
Equipped with two washing machines, two dryers and a warm shower, our hybrid vans are solar powered and have clean and waste water tanks onboard.

Laundry pods
Our laundry pods are fixed, standalone structures that remain at a location for an extended period of time. They are equipped with two washing machines, two dryers and of course - six orange chairs.

Laundromats
Whether in Orange Sky owned or partnered laundromats, we provide free laundry services and a chance to connect for people doing it tough.
Indoor Laundries
By placing washing machines and dryers within a service partner organisation, or utilizing existing infrastructure, we create a space for people in need to access laundry facilities and genuine conversations.
Laundry Pod 1.0
Fitted with three washing machines, three dryers, and six orange chairs, our 3x3 laundry pod is the first of it's kind. It is a standalone structure that is designed to remain at a location for an extended period of time.
