Who we are:

Orange Sky is a not-for-profit organisation providing people experiencing homelessness with access to free laundry services, warm showers and genuine, non-judgmental conversation, across New Zealand.

Our mission:

Our mission is to positively connect communities by providing a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are often ignored or feel disconnected from their community.

Where we are:

We currently operate five services across New Zealand. Our first service was launched in Auckland in October 2018, followed by our second service in Wellington a year later in October 2019. We then launched a second van in Auckland in November 2021 launching our third service, and then proudly ventured to the South Island for the first time launching our fourth service in Christchurch in May of 2022. Most recently, we were welcomed into the Hamilton community to celebrate the launch of our fifth service, and we are not stopping there with future expansion plans always on the horizon.

Each week, more than 300 volunteers give their time to help positively connect some of the 41,000 New Zealanders doing it tough.

We want to make sure that everyone has access to free laundry and shower services – but most importantly – the opportunity to connect and feel welcome.
