Orange Sky’s Ōtautahi Christchurch service supports whānau in the community experiencing homelessness and hardship by providing access to clean laundry, warm showers, and genuine, non-judgmental kōrero.
Following our collaborative approach, Orange Sky always operates alongside other service providers, including food vans or community centres, to support whānau doing it tough. We leverage local knowledge and collaborate with communities to support whānau in a way that best meets their needs. We know that by working together as a community, we can make the greatest impact, and that’s why we are committed to ensuring our services are community-led.
Since the very first shift our service has remained an open, non-judgmental and respectful environment for anyone experiencing hardship or in need of support. Our services are open to all, regardless of circumstance. Anyone in need of support is welcome and able to access our free laundry and shower facilities or simply come along for kōrero.
We are committed to helping and uplifting those most vulnerable in Ōtautahi Christchurch, and in communities across Aotearoa, in a way that respects and enhances dignity and mana.
