As the cost of living crisis deepens, the need for basic and essential services – like Orange Sky’s – continues to grow.
We are seeing more and more people experiencing financial hardship or at risk of homelessness relying on Orange Sky’s services.
Out of the 102,000 people affected by inadequate housing, approximately 60,000 Kiwis are living in uninhabitable conditions.
Homelessness and hardship are significant and enduring issues in Aotearoa. Increasing financial pressure and a significant lack of affordable housing and social housing is forcing more and more working adults and families into tents, caravans, and cars.
This only adds to the stress faced by many who are struggling to make ends meet or to find safe and secure housing.
